Club domicile

About the clubhouse
In March 2001, the association was able to lease a site in the center of Jonsdorf from the municipality. The clubhouse and observatory are located on this site. The members of the association lovingly renovated this building and have been using it ever since.
The clubhouse, with its well-equipped kitchen, function room and sanitary facilities, is available for club parties, family celebrations, external rentals and the like.
Site maintenance and preservation
The technical maintenance of the grounds is carried out very responsibly by a separate working group. The whole club helps with the necessary work throughout the year. Thanks to the tireless efforts of those responsible, the standard of our domicile can be maintained at a high level. That is why friends and strangers (who later become friends) like to rent it. For more information, please contact the association.

Unique rocks in the Zittau Mountains
Some special features that you, dear reader, can find on the grounds of the club’s domicile are the rock display wall, which is probably unique in Upper Lusatia, a fireplace and a giant boulder.
The rock show wall is an attempt to present the rocks of the Zittau Mountains and its surroundings. When creating it, we limited ourselves to the essentials. Only fresh, unweathered pieces of rock were mounted on panels and put on display. These are deep rocks as well as effusive and sedimentary rocks.
The boulder is a large stone that was found during excavation work for a new gas pipeline in Jonsdorf and was kindly brought to the club grounds by Enso workers. After all, it weighs around 3 tons!
In Upper Lusatia, for example in Olbersdorf north of Jonsdorf, brown coal was mined for energy production until the end of the 1980s. The wagon is evidence of this mining activity.
